An In-Depth Seminar With Debra Justice
~ Sew With Your Feet
A “Sit and See It”
Demonstration & Seminar ~
When: Friday, October 2nd from 2pm - 5pm
Saturday, October 3rd from 1pm - 4pm
Where: The Creative Stitches Room
Cost: $40
Class purchase also includes a Free Weekend Pass to the show.
Not quite sure what to do with all those feet? They look easy to use in
sewing machine manuals, but are seldom straight forward in “real
life”. See how to use some of the not so common feet for your
machine, that you should be using on your everyday sewing. Debra
will be presenting a demonstration seminar so you can see how to
use the invisible zipper foot, overcast foot, ruffler, shirring, hemmer,
pintuck, piping, darning, edge stitching, blind hemming, bias tape,
fringe foot and more. Deb will go over the feet, with examples of what
they do so you can learn how to use what you already own and
identify the ones you would like to purchase. Learn how to sew
piping and bias tape perfectly and how to install perfect zippers.
Even the flower stitch foot will be shown. Learn about the perfect
stitch, bobbins and different machine shanks so you can buy generic
feet and save money. This is a great seminar for all brands of
machines. Learn lots, use your sewing time better and get more out of the machine you already own.
Sit and enjoy the seminar while Debra does all the sewing!
Workbook Fee $20.00 (plus GST) payable to instructor.
What to bring:
- Pen
- Notebook
- Bring a Foot from your machine (the whole thing unscrewed - not just the snap-on if that’s what you
use. If you don’t already know if your machine is a low or high shank, this will help us to identify what it
is. I’ll bring my machine chart to class to help identify what your machine is.
Before you come to class you might like to check some resources online for your brand of machine to
figure out some feet that you have that your not sure of what they do. The links below worked while
writing this, but if for some reason it doesn’t now, just go directly to the machine web site, and click
“accessories” and you will find your way to the various feet.
Look forward to a great class full of useful information.
